Who I am

I'm a uni grad with a degree in English Lit and Creative Writing. I have been a columnist for Obo's Keepers Resources since the age of 18 and am working towards releasing a whole load of goalie books to help the next generation and those that self coach due to lack of coaches available. I currently write for PUSH hockey, Self Pass, the India Hockey blog and many others as well as various sports websites including iSports and The Football Magazine. I also play in goal and was a reserve goalkeeper for National Premier league side Hampstead & Westminster before focusing on my studies (or at least being forced to due to a frustrating timetable!). I also enjoy playing other sports and trying to push the boat out with what can be done with the goalkeeping position.

Why I do this

I love playing in goal and I love writing, so combining the two is a dream come true (I guess!). I enjoy the analysis side of things and like to write analytical pieces deconstructing players' ability (the players being goalkeepers!). I think that the current medium of technology and the global access of the Internet means that the future is bright and those who might not have access to immediate in-person coaching can now learn and self teach via videos or blogs such as this. I hope I can give back to the community that has shaped me and provide assistance for many other members of the "goalies union".

What I can do for you

I can provide in-depth, high level analysis for your club or coaching staff focusing on room for improvement and what would have worked to stop goals being conceded. This and work on a systematic way of developing goalkeepers through regular communication and advice.
